ArtSocial Club had the utmost pleasure to offer its members a special treat: a backstage tour of the Old Vic Theatre and a fun and relaxed breakfast at Penni, the OId Vic’s new artisanal café. 

The tour was led by the ebullient Stage Door Manager Ned Seago, who shared 200 years of rich and exuberant history of the theatre with our guests. 

We had an exciting opportunity to walk the halls of the theatre once walked by such legends as Laurence Olivier, Richard Burton, Judi Dench, Ian McEllen and Kevin Spacey. 

In September 2015 Matthew Warchus took the reins of the artistic direction of the Old Vic for the very first season. An hour long behind-the-scenes tour of the his new production of Henrik Ibsen's classic "The Master Builder" starring Ralph Fiennes offered us an exciting insight into the new era in the history of this stunning and inspiring venue.
