Spring Soiree: Yves Saint Laurent - A Visionary of Fashion and Art

We dedicated a Spring Soirée to the "founder of modern female fashion" and a passionate art collector, Yves Saint Laurent. The conversation was led by one of the most inspiring and respected fashion writers, a former European editor of Harper's Bazaar and author of several highly regarded books - Natasha Fraser-Cavassoni. Exclusively for ArtSocial Natasha presented one of her latest books Vogue on Yves Saint Laurent and shared with us her insights into the world of this extraordinary Master.

We learnt that YSL's passion for art had been strongly encouraged early on by his mother; he had worked with Dior, a big art-lover; had caught the world's attention with his Mondrian dress; had chosen muses like Loulou de la Falaise who resembled a Burne-Jones' painting; had worked with an artist Claud Lalanne; and of course, how he had created one of the most famous private art collections.

The evening was kindly supported by Lombard Odier.
